The idea of establishing a world class strategy & public policy advisory firm was born on the campus of Harvard University as a result of a partnership between an academic and a venture capitalist. The vision of the founders was to combine the best of academic rigour, policy knowledge and innovation to tangibly enhance government policies and performance. Whiteshield Partners was thereafter established.
The firm first offices were opened in London and Dublin with staff originating from both the Harvard and OECD communities. From the outset the firm built its vision on innovation in government, world class expertise and breakthrough policy models such as the ‘Country Knowledge Mapping (Harvard Business Review 2012), Future of Manufacturing Barometer (Harvard Business Review 2014, World Economic Forum 2014), ‘Whole of Government Navigator’© or ‘Geo-capability mapping’©. The firm grew rapidly thereafter helping OECD and transitioning countries in identifying and leveraging their knowledge and innovation potential. In 2013 Whiteshield Partners established four new functional practices covering economic public policy, strategy, technology for policy and next generation capabilities to continue supporting its clients globally. Today the firm has more than 10 offices and representations globally covering Europe (London regional office), the Middle-East and Africa (Dubai Regional Office), Eurasia (Almaty regional office), and the Americas (Washington DC).
As Whiteshield Partners celebrates its first decade of operations, the partners and staff of the firm remain fully determined in pursuing continuous policy innovation to support governments, international organisations and corporations to positively transform lives.
